Try this website, www.buckandboar.com . Top Notch Trophy Boars and reasonable 3 day hunts. You will get alot for the money, and a very large Boar too! KW

I have hunted down in Tyler for the last two years, and have found that most of the people just want them off of their land being that they root everything up.

You might look into asking some people from there.

"Just my two cents worth.

Here's a place that offers $100/day, unlimited hogs, in Kaufman County. Haven't been there myself, but it seems reasonable.

what part of texas are you wanting to hunt? there is a place near palestine that charges $300 for 3 days and 3 hogs any size.you also get a furnished cabin with showers.we saw over 100 hogs in 3 days.this is a archery only ranch.now try to find a ranch that offers this much for the price.

Also look at www.texasboars.com. Follow the link to The Shinn Ranch. There are others listed on there too. Also www.outfitterlocator.com www.huntinfo.com and www.where2hunt.net You will probably find more than you can possible consider through just one of these. Good luck.

Keep in touch--I'm looking to buy 66 acres in east Texas with some hogs on it and in the area. What gun would you be using. What cal. would you recommend?

RE: HOG HUNTIN

What caliber to use you ask??

If I sit in my stand I use my .260 or .270. This past year though I have started stalking the pigs and have gone to a lever action browning open sights in a .357, using 185Gr shells. While not a real big round, I have been shooting these hogs at under 25 yards. This round is big enough to do the job and small enough so my 11 year old can use it for hogs as well. Every pig I have hit with the .357 this year, 8 so far, have dropped in thier tracks.:D:D

Why not try public hunting land. Texas has AHP land that is full of pigs. I reccomend Cooper, White Oak, or Old Sabine River Bottom.
