Prep for the slam
:D
Have "prelim" plans on going for the "slam" this year and was wondering if any of you all have gone down this road befor. Now, if all goes right and I get another "Osceola" to start it off, then it's on. Have already made contacts, and secured "land leases" for the eastern and the Rio and Merriedian out west. Wasn't too hard, have family members in all these areas that don't hunt. Heee Heee. But are willing to let me hunt on their property. Here's my question. I plan on going low, low, low budget. Looking into the addition of a hunting trailor. Have my sites already set on a 4 x 4 Jeep as the towing unit. I break down the two options that I'm looking at as old school and new school. Let me know what you think, please. Good or bad. Old school: Hard body trailer New school: state of the art baby Now, I don't have the "hunting" experience that most/probably all of you have so hit me with it. |

Sorry, forgot to say that I'm toying around with the idea of switching over to a bow for this year. I'll still have my shot gun, (Moss), as a back up. |
RE: Prep for the slam
a slam with a bow is definatly not going to be an easy task but good luck to you

Prelim is short for preliminary plans. Basically I'm setting the ground work now for the upcoming turkey season. I was just asking hunters like yourself, who have more experience with trailors and different weather conditions, about the two types of "trailer" options that I'm looking into.;) I see that you're from Alabama, I've leased hunting rights for your state for the upcoming season.:D |
