RE: Considering a Relocation to North Carolina
Anyone here work, or know of someone who works at SAS Corp? From what I hear, it's the best company to work for in the US and it's located in Cary, NC. That would put me in an area my wife would love and still provide the outdoor entertainment I need within reasonable distances.

RE: Considering a Relocation to North Carolina
Read that you were also considering Fayetteville, based on your previous military service. I am currently stationed here at Ft Bragg (For the 3d time). Don't know when you were stationed here, but a lot of changes have taken place in the last 20 or so years. You wouldn't recognize Hay street at all now, for example. Everything's been cleaned up around there and there's a new museum there, too - The Airborne and Special Operations Museum. Roads are being upgraded(Finally!). The biggest issue here is education - many of the schools aren't very good. The schools really concentrate on the subjects found on end-of-grade tests to the exclusion of all else because if the school system posts high percentages they get more federal money.
There are several defense related companies here, but I am unsure as to their size. The city's website is www.fayettevilleonline.com Best of luck in your move Mike |

I have a friend that works for SAS. I thinks she works in software documentation.

RE: Considering a Relocation to North Carolina
I've got a phone screening with Dimon Inc. out of Greenville, NC and was wondering if anyone here had heard anything about this company? Good to work for? Worth the relocation?
Thanks! |
