RE: bear hunting

I do alot of deer hunting in Hyde county on the Pungo wildlife refuge,We cant shoot the bears but its a lot of fun stalking them and videoing them when we"re out on scouting trips sometimes we see more bears than deer! And I"m talking BIG bears 300-600+ they live along time and grow big,A friend of mine shot one last year on a piece of land that borders the Refuge that weighed 630 lbs it took a backhoe to load him in the truck. We have talked to the Refuge Biologist and they are considering having a Draw hunt to thin them out some. They are really a problem during deer season because they have gotten to bowshot deer before we could get to the deer.
