AL/MS & Cent AL rut predictions-report?
 

Have the deer been moving in AL/MS & Cent. AL? Any predictions on when the rut' s gonna be hot? The full moon in Jan is the 7th.

Some say it won' t have an effect, others say the full moon will push the rut back to the end of the season. I' m waiting until after New Years to see the family. I hope my strategy pays off this year. I wanna see some horn in my new scope.

We hunt south of Montgomery and the rut is usually getting good around the 20th of Jan. but the peak is closer to the end of Jan. or early Feb. after the season is over.

I hunt in central Mississippi about 30 from the Alabama line. Usually our peak is around the first week in January. We usually start seeing a lot of movement the week before Christmas.

Have been hunting South Dallas CO AL for 35 yrs and I consider the best time for a chance at a big rutting buck is a two week time frame centering the on 15th of Jan.
