RE: Turkey season is around the corner!
I just wish someone in our club would shoot every one of them.

RE: Turkey season is around the corner!
Why would you want that to happen?<img src=icon_smile_question.gif border=0 align=middle>

RE: Turkey season is around the corner!
Biggest problem we have is that the turkeys will absolutely demolish food plots when they are breaking the ground. We deer hunt almost exclusively and the turkeys cost us more money. (we have a LOT of turkeys)

RE: Turkey season is around the corner!
Well get the game warden to do something about it.

RE: Turkey season is around the corner!
Both game wardens in our area have permission to hunt all of our club leases, but we are talking about hundreds of turkeys. I told one of the game wardens (jokeing) that it might be a good idea to put out some trot lines with soaked corn on them to get rid of them. He laughed but also said it wasn't a good idea. If you have an idea please share it.

RE: Turkey season is around the corner!
March 16 is a date to remember. I'm there in my dreams. I've had corn feeders torn up by turkeys on my lease. Any helpful hints on using bows would be appreciated.

RE: Turkey season is around the corner!
I've thought about turkey hutning with a bow but I mainly do it with a shotgun.

RE: Turkey season is around the corner!
What kind of Shells and Shotgun do you use for Turkey?
I was thinking about using a .22 rifle (shoot the head) but I'm open ears. Also it's my first time hunting Turkey so this will be very interesting :) Nunnehi Systems & Domain Administrator |
