I have no problem with RTR. The problem is with those hunters that use dogs and basically think they can do anything they want using the law as an excuse to trespass. And the organizations that not only condone it but do nothing to stop it. The organizations know who are causing the problems but deny it each and every time. So the law makes sense BUT UNTIL THERE IS ENFORCEMENT AND FINES it is useless.

And the ones that do trespass and are disrespectful to the land owners are only hurting themselves and the rest of dog hunters.....
They are the ones that will eventually put and END to the use of dogs for hunting ....

yes, RTR is misused, seems many dog hunters use it as a right to trespass, if your retrieving your dogs under the law, you go in alone, with no firearms, and no other dogs on leads, if you are on anothers land with either of the above you are hunting without permission. when we tree a bear on private property we always do our utmost to seek permission to go to it, if we can't get permission, one person walks in and gets the dogs.
Its a touchy situation, without RTR then the owner cannot be held liable for what his dogs do, but its been misused a lot. But we must remember, its private land, respect the owners wishes, and treat they're property with respect.
