Not from around there, but my dad lived there (parents divorced) and I spent a lot of time there growing up. I shot my first squirrel when I was five on a piece of land a few miles east of there. It was on the northwest corner of 82 and County 21 as I recall. I still drive by there on Highway 82 on the way to my deer leases (south of El Dorado).

Nice know exactly where that's at. 82 has some nice private spots and ponds. :p

A friend of my dad was a ranch foreman for a lot of the land in that area, the old Stein ranch. I worked many a summer day working cattle, picking up stumps, in that area. We use to duck hunt on another ranch close to the Red River up around Fulton.
