Spent 7 morning to noon sits during turkey. Had one come into >50 near the river but hung up. That was the best chance I had all season. He was fired up and gobbling hard too. Might try some fall turkey but really looking forward to next spring for sure.

Quota Permits are in. How did everyone do? I got Upper Hills Archery (12/5 thru 12/6) and the first half of the first 9 in Green Swamp East (12/5 thru 12/8)

This buck has started coming by the trail cam in the swamp. Any guess on how big his rack is going to get?

Hereforthehogs he may very well be legal come season. If he has any brow tines he'll be a 6. Definitely looks like he will at least be a tall mini split 4 point. Looks to be young, should be a great deer in the next year or two. Good luck, keep an eye on him.

I’ve got my cellular cam up off of Levee and have had a ton of turkeys and does on it. Haven’t seen the buck I was seeing for about a month now. Ground looks dry in that spot at least on the camera.

I'm gonna go up for one or both Oct. hog hunts and do a little scouting at that time.
