I still havnt had a chance to hit the swamp but will definitely be out there openin weekend of gun...im intrested to see if we keep with this early cool weather how the rut will play out this season...on colder years seems to start a little earlier

Went to the swamp today n no score...gonna get back out there next weekend

Yup i had a quota hunt over at Baird unit and camped at the swamp. didnt get anything. seen a bunch of does though. as of today when i left the swamp they had taken 3 bucks and 2 hogs i belive out of 471 side from the weekend. set up camp and should be back in about 2 weeks

Was able to drop about a 60lb. smoker hog Saturday evnin...The Swamp is flooded...So far 8 hogs 4 deer outta 471 side...they say the biggest buck was an 8 that weighed 165...not too shabby for the first 9 days

well ended up only hunting saturday. My buddy who i went with seen 2 does in the morning sit and had something big bust through the palmettos when he got down to walk. i seen a racoon and nout steped on a water moccasin. gunna be out there again this weekend to check out some more new spots

I went out Thanksgiving weekend and it was pretty wet and quite a few hunters. Is it still a lot of flooding? I am planning on going out this weekend. Good luck to anyone hunting this weekend, have fun and be safe.

I imagine its still purty wet...wasnt out there last weekend but there is still a lotta standin water around...gonna pry head out there sunday for the day n see what happens

Anybody make it out there this past weekend? If so whats the harvest numbers lookin like?

I made it out today, the count was 9 deer and 29 hogs. There's still some standing water... but it's a lot drier than my first trip.
