Checked my camera this morning and got a small spike at 12:36 p.m. on the 13th and a hog at 12:00 a.m. Batteries died and the last picture I got was on the 17th.

A 4, 6, and 7 point were killed between 1 and 3 today. There were also 5 hogs taken brining the season totals up to 17 deer and 48 hogs.

They are deffinately moving as wee seen approx 20 on 471 headed home 2 were bucks.

Was out all day today - heard lots of shooting but didn't see anything. Rock ridge entrance was at 6 deer 20 hogs(I think).

It's been a tough season in the woods but I will not give up. My boy and I will be in the woods everyday next week starting in a couple of hours.

20 deer on 471? They really must have been movin! I don't think I have ever seen more than 9 on that road and that's going from 98 to the richloam check station.

Well I have found the hogs. Pas two trips there they have been in this patch of thick stuff. I just have to get the timing of them goin in or coming out of the area...

This season is about the slowest I have experienced in 10 years of huntin the swamp...didnt see any deer this weekend...spooked some hogs on the way out in the dark...finally had 1 rub with a scrape pop up after that last rain...but nothin compared to the amount I have seen in the past hopin to start seein more sign pop up soon...seems like the rut is runnin bouta month late...strange year

yes very strange year .sat moring tried some stalking well went in to this cypress swamp were theres a field on the other side with waist high grass and weeds sat in cypress swamp little while well got up to move down little bit and heard this blowin coming from the field oh great im busted well i squated back down and this doe come chargeing in on me got 30 yrds away from me stomping her feet blowing raiseing all kinds of hell then i caught something out the corner of my leaveing the field which i think was a buck and she was distracting me then two more does came in off the field and joined her then they took off . my brother in law got 10 arces going toward 471 and he said he hasnt been seeing anything or got anything on his trail cam

yes green swamp has been wet,but the ground has soaked up most of the rain... just a few places that still look like their holding water!

Really hoping things pick up soon, jan 13th is coming up fast. By chance anyone know what FWC's definition of bait vs attractant is?
