I may go tomorrow, Friday 12/11, and check a couple spots. How are the roads this year coming from SR471?

David the roads are dry, just bumpy. I was extremely surprised of how much it has dried up over the last month and a half. I literally didn't get my boots wet at all over this past weekend in a spot that was near knee deep in some spots.

Thanks! We shall see what happens. Hopefully all the game won't "socially distance" from me.

Got to the gate 20 minutes late. I'll be damned if there wasn't someone in my spot shining a light to ward me off. Haven't seen much but a coon so far this morning. Nice day tho. Anyone seeing any? RR man said a few decent 8 points were taken this week. Said they're about ready.

Anyone going to be out this weekend? Should be good hunting with this front coming thru and the rut kicking in.

Sat all day Saturday. Saw no moment. Bitter cold for this FL native.
I believe those 8's came out of Strand Hammock

Sat until 1pm on Sunday and for the first time this season I didn't see a single thing. It felt like one of those " this is going to be a good morning" kind of days. But that's hunting I guess. Anyone seeing any movement?

Yeah man he sure does a good job of getting on them. Sure puts in a lot of time in the woods. David, how has your season been so far?

Haven't been out yet. Had to put mom in the hospital a couple weeks ago and tied up dealing with that. I hope I can get out before season ends. Always something.
