Kentucky Bowhunters???

I will be bowhunting in Kentucky this September and was wondering what to expect. I have never hunted deer so early in the season, I have no idea what the deer will be doing. Example, Will the bucks be together, will they react to scent lures, calls, ratteling? Will they move more in the morning/evening? Give me your past early season bowhunting experiences. Thanks.

LAHUNTER, I live in eastern part of KY, this time of year bucks are still roaming around with does and sometimes you see them together, mornings and late evenings they will be working the edges of thickets and fields. If you are lucky enough to have a good place to hunt you will still find bucks in velvet, we are seeing some good deer but don' t expect to see high numbers of deer unless you are hunting prime farm lands in the central or western counties.
I am a director for United Bowhunters of KY, I get reports from all around the state and score for Buckmasters, my hunting buddy is a taxidermist and all this gives me a great chance to see lots of deer. GOOD HUNTING[8D]

I live in western Ky and every year when season starts most of the bucks i see are in groups of 2 or 3 the best time to hunt around here in september is in the morning. Also deer really do come to shelled corn or soybeans this time of year when the farmers start to harvest the crops hunt around harvested corn of soybean feilds.
