4x4 Elk in TX
Got a report from a friend who lives in Quanah (NE TX). Sombody redently spotted a free roaming 4 x 4 bull. He suspects the elk came out of the Wichita Mts area. Texas is starting to sound better & better.

When I was at Ft. Sill, Oklahoma, (SW oklahoma) there were several herds of free ranging elk on post and on the wildlife refuge next to Ft. Sill. It sure is a sight to see!

Just up the road here in N.W. Florida a guy has a pen (not for hunting) of about 200 acres with a bunch of deer and around 12 elk including 3 bulls that would be a trophy anywhere. I' m surprised they do well in this climate, but they look very healthy.

RE: 4x4 Elk in TX
Just curious about Quanah . . . are you sure its in NE Texas? Our lease is near Childress (bottom right corner of the panhandle, NorthWest Texas) . . . its about 15 miles from Quanah. Could there possibly be another one? I HOPE not . . . cause that means I could have some running around my lease . . . which would be GREAT news.
