this site will have all your Georgia info. i hunt in Quitman County, which is 20 minutes east of Eufala, Alabama and our rut was the 3rd and 4th week of November. this year i am taking of from November 15 to December 5 for hunting season. |
Thanks for the replies. I hunted the last 2 years near Louisville/Wadley south of Augusta. Once 1st week of nov. Last year last week of Nov. Seemed like more activity in the early part but may have been around the rut both times.

I thought that all of Georgia rut was in mid-late november. I live in Phenix City and I know that the deer in Harris & Talbot counties rut right around thanksgiving.

Supaflav, I also hunt in Harris County...let me know how things are looking for you this year. How has your scouting been? Do you plant any plots?

Does anyone know when the rut kicks in for Taylor County? I used to hunt in Brooks Co and I remember the rut being right around Thanksgiving time....thanks in advance.

Seeing quite a few ground scrapes and rubs on the property down here in SE Mcintosh County. Went smokepole hunting for Deer and Hog all week but I think it's still too hot for the durn things to move. Rifle opener this weekend with cold temps starting tomorrow night so hopefully things will be moving first thing in the morning.
