:barmy: Just got the results to my quota hunts and it looks like a busy year for me other that the other stuff going on right now!!! I got an archery, muzzleloader, and rifle hunt. Both a very good spots Seminole ranch and Tosohatchee!! Huntnma here I come!!! Man am I pumped im ready to go!! Did any body get anything good share it!!!!

only got my archery, as usuall got screwed on muzzle and gun. guess "preference" is not really preference. maybe i can pull what i want next year with 3 preference points on each.

All I got was the second muzzle loader at Half Moon.

I got archery citrus hunt and croom first nine gun. man am i ready!

hey camo that preference thing is bs, i had no preference points this time around n got my first choices on both archery n gun. a couple years back i had the preference points and got my last choice...dont seem like a preference system to me.

This whole new way they are doing the permits are total BS. Prior to last year I always got a permit for the WMA that I wanted. Might not have been the preferred week but always got a perm, either Muzzleloader or Archery. Last year I did not draw any of my preferences or permits, muzzleloader or Archery. Neither did I draw a permit for this year. Two years in a row with no permits. Cannot be a coincidence. This new system is terrible. So many people that draw permits don't even take or have the opportunity to go hunting.

Congrats y'all......I got a first muzzleloader and 2nd gun Toso. but then my hubby got 1st archery,2nd muzzleloader and 2nd gun, and a buddy of mine got 2nd archery, so I'll be hunting Toso. every hunt...woohoooo

KB boy...been doing deer counts at S.R. and Toso....S.R. is LOADED... and where you hunted Toso before had a decent six there....Take a doe at SR , they're all huge, mature does and way too many of em...Good Luck.

Well I got 2nd archery and my buddy got first so we are going to both!!

only got a blackwater still hunt. i got a buddy who got an extra dog hunt he's going to let me borrow. i missed on the field trail area muzzleloader.........tony

OK..I got the Green Swamp 2nd part of the week general gun

Three Lakes archery..there are only 2 days period..

I got the Three lakes Black Powder..first 3 days

Still trying to lose some weight so I can fit in my Summit without going over the limit..about 15 more pounds..LOL including hunting stuff.{ -;

I got Archery first nine days at Chassahowitzka, and General Gun first 9 days at Rich Loam.

I got GG at Green Swamp again, muzzleloader at Upper Hills. & still-hunt hog only at the sacred Green Swamp West in Feb.

Guys you do realize if you did not get your permit and have a buddy that did If you are really friends you can go as their guest. Just a few rules but hunting is hunting.

I pulled Bullcreek, archery and Gen gun, My buddy has both and Muzzle so I get to go as his guest for muzz.

Yup thats why me and my buddy always put in for quota permits in a few places because if he gets it or i do we go together.

I drew archery. muzzleloader and gun for citrus WMA this year. Its been 3 years since I've hunted FL.

I had some trouble printing my quota permits off the myfwc site and havn't been able too. I guess its a trip up to wally world one day tp print them all out.:confused2: it's kind of a pain their not mailing them out this year.

I'm confused about the 'Buddy Thing" I asked the man at the Green Swamp gate and he said NO!! that is not what that means..the 'Buddy' has to be a kid under 16 ..I'm confused about the guest thing..but the man at the gate woul dnot allow me to bring a buddy in.

OK This is what is written concerning that .WORD FOR WORD..

Guest Permit Information
. For each non -transferable quota permit , you are allowed one non-transferable permit.
. You may only bring one additional hunter on the hunt at a time , EITHER one youth under 16 years of age , one mentor license holder {License indicates " Hunter Safety Deferral" one mentor license supervisor { If your license indicates "Hunter Safety Deferral" } one non -hunting supervisor if you are under 16 and you hold a quota permit { None of whom need a guest permit} or one guest permit holder.

I guess I need to call Fish and Game..I'm lost on this on..because I know someone I could bring.


More stuff..after reading this I beleive you folks are correct..I plan to ge tmy friend's hunter ID and birthdate..

• The quota permit holder must pick up their quota permit prior to obtaining a guest permit.
• Only one guest permit per hunt number may be issued and the guest must have a management area permit (or a license that includes a management area permit) to apply unless the guest is exempt from purchasing licenses and permits.
• Guest permits are available beginning August 1, at license agent and tax collector offices only, and may be obtained until the last day of the hunt.
• Guest permits may not be changed once they are issued and are non-transferable. It is suggested that you wait to obtain your guest permit until just before your hunt.

It should say weather or not the WMA allows guest permits on the brochure. I plan on using several of my "buddy's" to hunt the spots I didn't draw. Good luck with the gues permit info. The my fwc site is lacking alot of information.

Don't even get me started about buying guns from there. Recently my 70 year old grandad bought a shotgun. They figured it be a great time for him to learn how to use a computer. The walmart cashier wes hellbent on not letting me help him. keep in mind this is the first time he's ever used a keyboard and mouse. It took over an hour for him to fill out the online form because she "wasn't allowed to help because of store policy".

It's almost easier going to the tax collectors office, but then you have to deal with the people getting new tags and driver's licsense. I hate to go in wally world anymore.

This year I got all three archery,muzz and gun at Tosohatchee!
Last year only got 2 phase Muzz at Seminole ranch,1st day east of rv park got 152# sow hog,2nd day missed nice 6 pt,3rd day zip and a lot of air boats close to my stand.I have never hunted Toso and need to spend some time to check out the area.I know there is a lot of deer and hogs to the south see them all the time driving on 520.

The south by 520 isnt huntable until the hog dog hunts....

I got archery, gen gun & hog-dog, all at Chaz. That's cool with me, it's the closest WMA to my house. Only thing I missed out on is muzzleloader. I'll use that in gen gun season after I've scored with the 30.06. It's funny, I either get all G.S. or Chaz, never a mix of the two. I'm not complaining, I think I got a good draw.
