Ok hunters..gotta a question for ya..

I know how to apply during the 1st phase .the June 1st phase..but how and when do I apply for the 2nd phase..

Also, how many different sign up phases are there

OK..I saw the whens..and there are 3 phases..

I guess if you don't get what you want you can reapply ..is this it?

I 'm surprized someone replied LOL this place has been like a ghost town lately..Do you know anything about Praire near Three Lakes or Upper Hillsborough..I signed up for those as well..

By the way thanks for replying ..I put in for Green Swamp..but after I only checked 2 I accidently clicked SUBMIT..] -; so I'll be glad when I can reapply..I checked the right stuff for Muzzle loader and Archery though.

praire lake is suposse to be a good hunt never hunted it ive only been to upper hills. once

probably be headed out to the swamp here in the next cpl weeks to do a little scouting

I'll be off from school if you'ld like some company..

I'm also planning a trip to 3 lakes for some scouting if you'ld like to join me..

My last day of school is next Thursday.

I found out something important this morning ,,If your hunting license is still good through the fall deer hunt YOU DO NOT need to buy a deer permit..I bought my license during spring gobbler season so the man at Walmart told me I don't need one.

upper hills is a good hunt. all walking though. my dad shot a 197 pound 7 point out of there a few years back. we've also shot a few 8's and a 10 out of there. mostly swamp with cypress heads...kinda like green swamp.

Got a question for ya...Since you know the deer will be there..what is the point to scout? I've been hunting the swamp for about 8 years now..all of my spots have remained the same..the only thing that changes is the vegetation I have to cut down to place my stand..especially in archery season..

Now concerning Three lakes..that place is new to me..I've only hunted it twice so that will need scouting.

If I did scout the Green Swamp I would scout new places ,

I hope this post didn't make me sound like a jerk..not my intention at all.

i just go out there cause there r so many places back there to hunt so i dont limit my self to one area i scout around different spots . i might hunt one area cpl times and if i dont see nothing i always got other places to fall back on. where we stopped at at the river was only the beginning it goes all the way back to the vann fleet bike trail. also take my camera out there always catching some hogs on film its like where i shot my spike at never hunted it went out there one day scouting around found a scrape decide to hunt it the next morining and two does and spike came out probably luck lol
