Need advice about Palatka, FL

I am in Orlando, FL and thinking of buying a little property (about 5 acres) in Palatka, FL for hunting. Anyone familiar with the area? Any good Deer Hunting?

very nice deer in that area. since you are only looking at buying a small tract of land you need to consider what the neighboring properties look like. the bigger bucks killed in the Ocala NF are killled in the extreme North end up in Putnam County (just south of Palatka). when i say bigger bucks i mean 8+ points and near 200 pounds. which area of Palatka are you looking at....south, east, north or west? the south end near the Ocklawaha River is mainly swamp and good hunting. when you go north or east you will get into some farm land.

It is close to the Rice Creek Conservation Area. What part of palatka is that considered in?
