Hunting North Houston

I' m looking for a deer lease around North Houston. Bow only would be preferrable, I' m not looking for trophys just decent deer and a place to hunt them. I have a growing family and it gets harder to get out these days unless it' s relatively close. I' ll go as far as College Station, Huntsville, Cleveland, etc.Thanks.

try TexasBowhunter.com......go to discusion board and ask, there are some guys that hunt that area. Look in the " Thrifty nickel" paper and you my find some around the Conroe area. I used to hunt the Cut-n-Shoot area.

Hey botkin how are ya? I live in Conroe and hunt my 13 acres. I got a nice 10 pt. last year. So you are in Magnolia. I' m only a stone throw away from you. It' s pretty out that way. As you probably already know, most of the land in our area is privately owned. What you need to do is get the word out that you are looking for a place to hunt. The magnolia area has got a good deer heard which I' m sure you already know so I' d start there. Just mention to people that you know in the area that you wish there was somewhere around there where you could hunt. Go fishing so to speak. They might know someone who hunts in the area and might refer you to him OR they might know someone with some land. Know what I mean?
I' d also check out that board that Bruce mentioned. Something will fall in your lap. Good luck and let us know if you come up with anything.

Johnny
