Need Advice
 

I need to know if I can still eat the heart and liver out of a gut hit.
I shoot a doe that looks to have hit the top of the stomach and right though the liver. So the liver has a hole right though it. I have wash the liver and heart off real good but it still smells like gut. So what do you guys think.

i wouldnt, if it went through the stomach and then the liver especially not...i think you will know..instinct...while you are cleanin the animal if its eatable..its a location thing...ya had to have been there!!!

would the heart be any good it smells also.

Rick, first off, congratulations on your deer! If the heart smells, forget it. There is so much bacteria in the guts that I would not risk it.
