Best way to find a hunt club around Northern VA
OK, I know it is too late for this season, but after driving 3+ hours each way several times this season, I am looking for something better for next season.
I live near fairfax, and ideally I'd like to find something within 1.5 hours drive.
Can anyone give me tips on how to locate a hunt club? What can one be expected to pay? Thanks.

I was able to find 3 clubs online last summer. I visited different Virginia hunting websites and did some research and joined 2 that way. Also found another club by driving around back roads and calling the numbers on posted signs. Just keep looking. The way times are now, many folks are giving up there club dues and some clubs may be looking for members.

If I were you, I would go qualify over at Fort Belvoir with your bow. The base is bow only year round, and they have extended doe hunting seasons. I have never hunted it but I have heard it is pretty good hunting.

Massaponax is not a bad club if you are looking for a club that hunts with dogs. They tend to follow the rules, unlike alot of clubs. I sent you a email stonewall, let me know if you got it or not.
Dave I called a few times and you never answer... you never sit still LOL call me.. if you do not have my number pm me and I will send it to you.

By "bow only year round," you mean that you can't ever hunt with a gun? Not that you can hunt with a bow year round?
