Anyone know much about the hunting licenses needed? Anyway, the reason I ask is to hunt Furbearer's in VA is all you need the regular hunting licenese? I don't see any others offered other than that and the one for big game. I see on http://www.dgif.virginia.gov/hunting...unting.asp#fox It says that several Furbearer's are in season. So do you need a special license to hunt these? Or does the regular one cover these? I thought the regular one covered these but someone has me wondering if I'm right.

I have been hunting and trapping here in Va. since 1977 and I have never heard of a furbearer license. I believe all you need is a state wide hunting license (not the big game one) and as long as your county allows for the furbearer to be shot and is in season you should be good to go. I know in Culpepper it is illegal to shoot a fox at any time. The blue blood Horse Hunters saw to that. Thats why we dont have very many rabbits to hunt around there.
