Default black bear killed on Quantico

Man I pulled up to the Quantico game check tonight and saw a big ole black bear! Unreal! I have hunted there ten years and have never even heard of anyone shooting a bear. It was a male black bear.

Well I saw 15 turkey tonight but no deer. I will be back at it Saturday afternoon.

Thanks buddy. I will only get an afternoon hunt in this Saturday but I hope it is drizzling rain and overcast. The weather needs to get colder and more overcast to get those bucks moving here in the next week.

I will take overcast but no rain please lol I was out Sat (already had a little bit of a cold before we went out) and I ended up sick as anything from all the dampness and cold air.

Had a nice 7-8 point come by at 5 yards last night after the rain ended. Decided to pass him up. He was a 2.5 year old and I hope he makes it to next year!

Rick - the buck is still hanging around the same area to the right side by the county line. A friend and myself are planning on hunting the fields(the ones in the back where I saw your car parked) on Sat, unless something changes between now and then.

Justin I am going out there Thursday and Friday I might beat you to him. I have seen a few good deer down there but nothing in range. I will be with my son Thursday evening. Going to try a Buck decoy around a few scrapes I found maybe that will pull him out of some of the thick stuff. Good luck Saturday.
