I'm from TN. Murfreesboro to be exact. I agree with all the rain we had plenty of food out for them, but the ticks will be bad in the early season.

jssblues 09-07-2009 05:05 AM

actually it seems like the ticks are not as bad as they were a couple months ago, i have been out scouting many times already and came back with no ticks, now had i even stepped one foot in the woods a cuple months ago i would have a half dozen of them on me......i wonder how many other states have them as bad as we do...i have lived in michigan, kansas, florida and never even seen a tick...

Actually I would have to disagree. they are eating acorns. there are too many on the ground, but if you find the tree they are eating under you will see deer.

I have family in Elizabethton. I've never hunted up there, but my wife and I have plans to move to TN, when the kids finish HS.
