Quantico 5/1
 

I took a day off from work to go out on Quantico May 1. Went to get my pass and found a gun area I have been trying to get on had a pass left so changed areas and off I went. I was running late to get there and light was coming up fast. Got out of the car and walked 300 yds and the birds just started on there own. My hart dropped I knew I just couldn’t get there fast enough. About 30minutes later I got as close as I thought I could. Now I was planning to go to a archery area so all I had was my crossbow I had to get close. It sounded like they were still in the woods. So I set up on the edge and started calling. What a experience the toms were actually answering me. I thought it was all going to come together or at less get them to come to me some, BUT they never came over the ridge. I finally got the nerve to go and look to see were they were going but they were gone. All in all it was great. It is not easy but I had fun.

Went back to the same area Saturday withmy son and nothing…?

Bush,,,that story sounds exciting! I did some fishing on Quantico today and caught 3 bass and 1 catfish. I wish you the best of luck getting a turkey.
