Curious as to what you would plant now

for the deer in your area. What have you had luck with the last two years??

I live in the Upstate of SC. Soil has quite a bit of clay.

If you have a good number of deer, planting a 10 or so acre plot of soybeans would be hard to beat.

I mix peas and soy beans and that usually works well for spring/summer feeding. For fall/winter plots i plant a mixture of iron clay peas, wheat, oats, and rye and have had good luck with them all.

we plant a mixture of black eyed peas and turnips.it is aromatic enoug to coax them into the area.we planted 40x40ft plots in many places. only problem we had was that the hogs found the area and plowed it up for us.
