Hunt club/lease in Florida

New to this forum and am looking for a club or lease in Florida. Family hunting a must. I bring my 7yr old son with me. I obey the law and rules. I also have access to equipment to work on the land. Let me know if you know of anything.

What part of Florida are you located?

I am located in Pasco County, but looking anywhere. Possibly in south Ga as well.

I own some land in Levy County, 2 hr. drive from NPR. Some of the best deer, hog & turkey hunting in FL. There are several leases around Otter Creek & Chiefland, I just don't know who to contact. If I were really interested in a lease, I'd take a drive and talk to some people. There is Keith and Don at Jim King Realty in Chiefland. If you were to walk in and ask for some info, I bet they could help. There is also a little bait shop and beer store on the corner of US 19 and SR 24, Hershel's.These people could also help you out. These people are locals and if you just make a phone call, they're probably going to just blow you off. Take a drive and ask some locals. Beats driving 5-6 hours to So. GA. Good luck.

Jeff

eaj1010 called me last night and we talked about leases. JB55 has it EXACTLY correct. I got in my car and drove (at 3.50 a gallon) for 4 staright weekends. I took down the addresses of feed stores and would walk in and say howdy. The funny thing is that south of St. Petersburg there was almost a mystical air to the "hunt club". You would think these guys wear dark red robes and chant a mantra before entering the gate to go hunting. The prices had almost a geometric progression on price the further south you get. North of Gainsville everybody got freindly and it got a lot easier. But you have GOT to put in the leg work. Feed stores, bait stores (I did not think of that one), and the local hardware stores worked out great.
