Rut/Shedding in NOVA
 

Will i stop by my spot in NOVA (reports of some deer damage) JUst to see if new or stuff I have already seen. On my way out I see a small buck bedded down I stop to take a better look and he is with another buck and three does. I try to get a better look at the other buck and they take off over the ridge I loop around and meet up with them on the other side and find a good spot to watch them. they know I am there but go about there day. The bucks are chasing after the does which I thought was a sign that they might be coming into heat.one of the bucks has lost a side not sure if its shedding or broke off there is no stub just gone. the other is a nice 8 the does I think are the family I took one from a week ago. I am now kicking myself for not bring my bow. I have been fighting a cold since friday and didnt feel to good this morning. aint it funnyhow seeing deer makes you feel better. well I and off for the rest of the week gota watch the kids wife is going out of town so they might make to next year.

Just found out the wife wouldnt be leaving till 11am just enough time to take the son out. I might get lucky and get a shoot at one. that 8 would make for a good end to a season but the big doe would also do just fine. I will pos pic.
