Georgians will know this...
Do deer eat peanuts?
A friend of mine here in Kansas has been trying to grow them in the vicinity of my hunting stands. They ate the plants this summer, but I was wondering if we didn't harvest all of them, would deer paw the nuts out of the ground when winter hit? I'm wondering if they would make a decent late season food plot if we left some of them in the ground. They seem to be only two-three inches into the soil. |

They will definatly take a liking to them! Try smearing some peter pan peanut butter on the side of a tree, they absolutely love it too!

Not only do they love them, they are very high in nutrition, protein runs about 32%.

Deer tear them up in Virginia. we have some large peanuts operations and those fields fill up with deer every night.
