Default FLORIDA RUT

I am already seeing signs from rubs to scrapes. A few weeks ago my friend and i were scouting and we found a fresh scrape that was made the night before. Is it just the bucks rubbing velvet of or what and i know our rut doen't start till the last week of January. Have yall been seeing the same stuff

Where in Florida are you at? Our rut in Taylor County(south of Tallahassee) is almost over.

I live in Pace by pensacola the panhandle and when i was hunting blackwater i didn't see any bucks chase does till late january

i was seeing more activity last month...I helped look for a buck on Mon., when he was found, his tarsal glands were clean, neck not swollen at all,pointy toes, not rubbeddown at all from scraping....but I am still seeing fresh rubs and scrapes, more scrapes than rubs though....so I don't know what's up with them...

I've been hunting Blackwater all year. I am starting to see some scrapes... I've been seeing rubs. The rut shouldn't be until middle to late January. I think they are just rubbing velvet off. The scrapes..... I'm not sure why they are doing that... I guess they are just checking out what is there... when they are rutting good there will be scrapes all over.... you'll see scrapes along ridges right along the swamps. Right now I am only seeing a couple here and there
