OK a question about richloam, how the hell do you check your kill in? also where do you go to skin and clean your deer or hog? please help me out..

Hey Country Dad: Lolo here. Agree wit CamoCop. As we talked the other day, the one time I went there I saw the checkstation but was closed. I checked the regulations and this probably explains:

" HUNTERS AND CHECK STATIONS:
2. During the spring turkey season and the first 9 days of general gun season, hunters shall check all game taken at a designated check station before leaving the area".

Not sure as I don't hunt there, but looks to me that you don't have to check game during Archery (but I may be wrong) and this will explain why the station was closed.

I'm sure someone will pitch in and clarify.

i've always understood as you have to check in all game taken on public land....i could be wrong. if that check station was unmanned i would probably drive the short jog south on 471 to the Green Swamp check station and see if they would tag it for me. both Green Swamp check stations are always manned. it would be my luck to get stopped by a warden with untagged game
