Find an areawhere most hunterswon't go.......Most hunters won't go far from their vehicles; Someshare on other hunters Roost locations; They come close to other hunters turkey calls and Manysound as a Sherman Tank coming in!...Try to find a Roost deep in the woods...

RE: Florida turkey hunting
People people people! Be very cautious would be my first advice. I hunt in most of the management areas in the big bend area during the spring and people are very thick. One thing that I have had alot of success with is that I will stay in the woods until the end of legal hunting hours when possible. Alot of people will go and if they don't kill a bird first thing they leave. When the hens go to the nest the gobblers will go out looking for more hens in my opinion from 10:00 am and up the hunting gets better because there are less people in the woods and you can strike a bird pretty easy. Just walk through the woods cutting and yelping and you can have some good success. Later on in the year I do less yelping and more cutting and some kee kee running. This may sound silly but most people will yelp and yelp so alot of the birds I have killed in the later part the year will pull cover on you if you just yelp to him.Good luck! I hope that this may help you some!
