Hound hunting in Viriginia
 

Did anyone else get the pamplet in the mail from VDGIF? Mostly it states a study will be getting underway in 2008 with VDGIF and VaTech and list opportunities to get involved. Such as, surveys will be sent out early 2008, public meetings held throughout the state, and accepting letters/emails and be able to view/add comments to reports. Also, you can sign up for email alerts by going to www.dgif.virginia.gov/houndhunting I'd like to see one of these for Sunday hunting!

Yup.... I got one too. I read it, and realized that nowhere are they going to mention Sunday hunting, or even the possibility or a subtle thought about it... [&o]

Oooooo we gotta save deer dog hunting... We all gotta help the dog runners... Give me a break, you know? :eek: They need to look at the decreasing number of hunters today and the lack of opportunities, instead of concentrating on deer dogs.

I think they are just catching a lot offlack on the dog issues and want to show they are doing something. I agree they should definitely bring up Sunday hunting and new hunter programs, especially since every year we supposedly fall short of harvest estimates.

After what I had to put up with on the 1st of Dec enough is enough of dogs running durring deer season.[:@]
