Default VA Black Powder Season

Opening day, one doe down happened right at 5:15 doe heading towards me twenty yards out straight thru the chest as the 295 gr powerbelt struck. She piled up about 10 yards, I'll post the reults of the 295 gr powerbelt after impact. Hope everyone else had some success, I did have a doe come in abut 11:30 but decided I would let her walk waiting to see if a buck was near by.

I took a doe also, around 5:45 Saturday. Got tired of watching them and needed some meat in the freezer

Pearl, nothing wrong with it same reason I decided to shoot the one I did. I could have scored twice I do plan on using up all the tags this year regardless...lol

I will head to C. F. Phelps during the week to harvest a few does, this way I can relax before the general firearms season. I'm off work from Nov 15- 25th my time of the year.

Halifax this coming weekend hopefully I can land a few bucks I saw earlier during the year at the property I manage during the hunting season.

We've seen TONS of doe on our farm in Northern VA, and just Sat. MZ opener did we see a massive 8 and huge 10 pointer. They're dogging the does HARD now and moving too!
