multiple ruts anyone?
 

I live in Alabama and I was wondering are there any other states that have multiple ruts? Here in Alabama there are 3 different ruts that I know of, it just depend on what part of the state that you hunt. I just can't seem to understand how deer less than 35 miles apart can rut in 3 different months. If anyone has any insight to this, I would be interested.

Not doubt that a distance of 35 miles makes a difference in the rut in Bama. In Barbour county where I use to hunt they would rut in early Dec, now in Pike county it is late Jan.

you won't believe this but i can put you in contact with 2 Florida Wildlife Biologist that can verify this. there are 2 w.m.a.'s next to me that are seperated by a two lane road. both area's are different w.m.a.'s and right across the street from the other and their rut is approximately 2 months apart. one's rut is in mid october and the other is in mid december.
