Yeah Camo, definitely a nice deer, and those are from a WMA right? Good luck getting him out during daylight. They learn quick in the WMA's. I've got a couple spots I would like to try a trail camera next year, do you do anything specail to protect yourcamera from thieves?

Todd,

I have lived across the state in the Ft Myers area my entire live. Growing up in South Florida with the bugs, gators, and snakes I have never really paid them much thought, guess thats because there part of the only outdoors I have ever known. Dont worry about the other guys razzin ya its really not that bad. Skeeters honestly you will find are the most problematic.

Since u have ties to agriculture a pretty cool hunt is hunting the orange groves. Usually they are chalk full of deer and hogs and they are usually on very dry land. Its pretty difficult to get permission at least here in SW florida as most of the landowners either hunt themselves or are bombarded by people asking to hunt.

Eventually u may want to take up gator hunting speaking of them. I hunted two weeks for them last year and had a freaking blast. Killed a 10'4" one on Lake Trafford in Collier county near Immokalee. Hope your move is a successfull one and good luck.

Scott

yeah those deer are on public land. i just run a cable through my cam case and place a small padlock on the cover (to keep someone from opening the case to steal or view my pic's). can it still be stolen, yes....but it keeps the honest man honest.

CamoCop,

Is that deer in the protection program and you had to white out his eyes. :D

Holly Smokes Batman, very nice buck!!! For a rack that tall I would think it would be wider. That is one nice set of bones for FL. If you get him this year post about it.

Cheers,
CB
