I know this aint nothing to you Florida c r a c k e r s:D but the first time I was archery hunting down here a pack of coyotes began howling real close..and it freaked me out pretty good. It sounded like there was about 20 but I understand just a few can sound like that.

our family farm is across the road from the kolomoki state park in sw georgia. I spend some time in the off season and in between hunts searching for arrowheads. I'm am really kind of amazed by them to tell you the truth. it's become somewhat of an addiction.

Being a teacher I love Science.I made 2 videos of Florida nature and some bass fishing..I take one student {male} fishing every year as an incentive.
I also collect rocks and minerals as well as fossils. I only have 4 arrowheads. I got lucky and found a nice one that looks something like a small spear head .The material its made from looks like a piece of black shale. I also bought one from Arizona and one from Missouri . I also have another. I found a fosselized gator jaw at a lake in Lakeland where I live as well. |

Worse sound to me is a dog barking. If I don't hunt, my son won't put the dogs out until noon. If I'm in the woods hunting, he's got them chained up outside howling, whining and barking at 7am. It's been so bad I had to call the house from the stand and tell him to either duct tape their mouths shut or put them back inside. Between the deer dogs everywhere else and the two in my front yards my blood just boils. Aggravating, frustrating mess listening to yap, yap, yap coming from four different directions at one time and knowing every deer within a mile is either running another direction or hiding and trembling with fear.

yeah sausage gets me too,mine is deer walking under your stand before you can see threw your sight or a hunter stalking deer right past your stand

The sound i hate the most is that darn hunter crunching through the leaves, steppin on twigs at 8:30 in the morning, open day. What is even worse than that is when the same guy see's me in the tree, then waves and says... YOUUUU SEEEEE ANYTING YET?.

The worst sound for me? The sound of buzzing yellow jackets that during the summerhad made a nest under the seat of my ladder stand. I jumped almost 16 feet to the ground but not before I had gotten hit 8 times.

The worst for me is to be on my trail to my stand--And step in amongst a covey of quail---The sound of there wings and the beating against your pants leg---Makes you glad you done did your morning constitution.:D;)

I would have to say spooking a hog in the dark. Normally when I walk to my stand I don't use my flashlight because I can see well enough to make my way and the trails to my stands are normally easy to follow. Hearing that "SOOOOOEEEEEEEE" ten feet infront of youcould possiblyshake a deuce loose.

Climbing with a climber stand hearing the bottom section slide down the tree at about 15 foot. Probably the reason everyone learns to tie the two parts together.

But a very close second is taking a vacation day to hunton a federal refuge and have someone 150 yardsfrom you shoot, then get on the phone and talk in a normal voice to his buddy, THEN walk through the woods with his moron friend chatting (yelling) to each other!!!But itactually got worse- another idiotiswalking behind me saying '"oh, sorry ma'am, I'm looking for my buddy that got lost. Didn't know you were there".HEELLLOOO -you're on PUBLIC land- there are other hunters in the area - be considerate!!! IDIOTS[:@][:@]

mine is about 8 o clock in the morning hearing the kids next to my property start their four wheelers up and just take off through the woods. then about 9 I will hear break out their 22's and start takin some target practice. kinda makes me want to go over there and let them have it. [/align] |

I got 3. Hearing that WWHHEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEWWWW sound in about 5 or 10 ft infron tof you that deer make when you're walking to your stand in the dark in bear country, second being right at the prime time in the morning out of no where your neighbors' dogs coming running down the mtn. thinking they're deer, last is gettingup the tree trying toset your cellphone on vibrate and then dropping it while it's on high when you know your grandpa is getting ready to call at prime time in the evening. By the way, all this year and the season just opened on Oct. 6. What's next???[&:]
