Yes sir...I've had many people tell me of that area including Reb...my reasons for not hunting it
1. If it's where I think it is Three Mile Run goes into it and that stretch is very sandy for my 2 sheel drive...if a vehicle is coming and i have to pull out of the ruts ..I'm stuck for sure.
2. Quite a few hunters there...
I've have heard it's a hot spot though from more than one source.

I basically find one area per year and scout it hard...I found a new area this year by the river...it looks good..I'm afraid some other hunters have seen it before though so I need to hunt it during archery..it's a long WALk but not a wet walk.

Thanks Huntin ma

Last year I tried my luck at stalking..you know,,4 steps..stop and wait ..and wait..and wait...then 4 more steps.. low and behold when I reached the center of this bayhead I saw hog signs everywhere and a deep spring among a grove of oak trees..This was in the middle of what appeared ot be a 1/2 mile of skinny cypress trees too skinny for a stand.
There was not one evidence of man there ever..I made some shooting lanes but still a little too thick still for archery..this is one of my top firearm places..I found this spot using Goggle Earth...I also found my new river site this year on Goggle Earth.
