Yup, got drawn for the Oct. 26-28 hunt in the Hominy area. This is my first time to get to hunt the base. I am going into it blind, I really don't know what to expect.

How did your first hunt go?

Although we DID have a good time, we came home empty handed.

Last yr, we hunted the first weekend after the disable hunt and there were only 8 deer taken all weekend. I did have some come in close, but none presented a shot. They all (does) walked behind a bushy tree along a trail i didnt know was there.

This yr, we got drawn for Nov 9-11 in hominy.

They are really strict but they have to be. If its on the list to leave at home, leave it. Go through your truck many times looking for things you cant have. When you think your clear, have someone else dig through it. I rememberedI didnt look in the glove box and right as we were fixing to go scout, I found a book of matches!
