NC Public Hunting Land
 

Anybody Hunt any of the Public Lands in NC? Just looking for another option for this season. Especially archery. Never hunted public land, but there is alot of it in NC and I would like to get the ins and outs of hunting public lands in NC or in general.

Any certain part of the state you interested in? How far are you willing to drive?

I am in Charlotte. Prefer the Central Part of the State. Looking at Uwharrie NF or some State Gamelands. I am new to Public land hunting, I am trying to get some basic info about how to approach this type of hunting.

there isthousands of acres in the mtns starting around asheville too. Uwharie is a pretty large place. A lot of folks use it too. During the week it's not so bad. I haven't been there in some time because of the pressure.
