My dad and I went this morn in So Alabama. We heard 4 at daylight. 2 in one spot and 2 at another spot about 1/2mile from each other. Then we went to another piece of property we have lease and heard 2 more birds on the ground. They were hammering off at anything that made noise. It was in the mid 50's at day light and quickly rose to 62. Can't wait til next week when it opens down here!!! Itfired meup to say the least!

woke at 4 am this morning and couldn't go back to sleep, so went out to listen. finally heard 1 turkey here in Dallas co., Ark. others have told me that they have heard them for the last 3 weeks. will be finished courtship and hens on nest by time season starts 4-14[:@]. will be glad when G&F get they're heads out of the sand and realize that the whole state doesn't opperate on the same game timetable. season needs to start 1st of April atthe latest in south Ark. they just won't listen to us from the southern part of the state. but i'm working on gettingto hunt someland in the northern part of the state, so i'll just go up there.
