va turkey hunting

This will be my second year out, and I was looking at the National Forest to hunt. Has anyone had anyluck there? I hunted MCBQuantico with no luck last year. I've been working on my calling, and ready to have some fun in the woods this spring. Any tips or other areas to look at?

There are a lot of birds on Quantico, I used to hunt there a while back. LOTS of pressure though. Look for the GWJNF near Timberville (Rockingham VA, I think), we've hunted there in the past and there seems to be a decent population of birds also.

Shoot me a PM and I'll see if I can find some time to take you out to my buddies land in Loudon County. I have shot birds there for the last 6 years in a row. I don't mind taking a buddy and helping out.

Mike
