Price Check?
Looking for a lease in Fl or Ga just got off the phone with a guy that wants 2,000. for 950 acres 6 to 8 people hunting it, only open for turkey and deer no year round hunting.
I turned it down should i have taken it? just seemed high price for no year round hunting. That figures up to a little over $16 an acre each for the 8 guys. |

WOW 2000.00 divided by 8 is 250.00 a year...I would jump on that in a heartbeat.
Even if it's only 6 people it comes to ??? 333.00 not bad. |

That sounds like too many people on 950 for that price to me. I would keep looking unless there are a lot of extras to the club.

Was that here in FL? If so, it probuably is the going rate. Everything I hear here is expensive. If it is GA I would keep looking or at least find out more details. If they have some nice ammenties it could be a great price.

Man, I was paying $500yearly for 1,600 acres and 70 members, in Madison,FL. 20 miles South of the FL/Ga Line..Bordered by 55,000 acres ofSan Pedro WMA and left when they upped it to $800 a year. |

I hunt a lease in NE Oklahoma we have 1200 acres, a 3 bedroom house, there are 5 of us on it and we pay $950 a year each. this is a year round lease and has 6 nice Bass ponds on it we can fish.

Cowboy I may have a couple of tracts East of DeFuniak Springs available next year (if they don't sell). One is 280 acres and the other is 123 acres at about $6/acre + insurance. The 280 hasn't been legally hunted in several years.
