14 days left my alabama brothers....
 

here in central alabama...the bucks have got their nose's to the ground...i'll be in a stand...or blind every chance I get...there is a 10pt...that I hope hasn't shown himself to no one but me....I just need a chance for a shot.

They have definitely gotten a lot more active in the past week. I'll be in the woods the next few days and then again for the last 5. Good Luck

This afternoon I got absolutely crapped on by one of the biggest bucks I have seen in close to 40 years. I got to a shooting house overlooking a Buck Forage Oats plot about 2:30 south of Elba, Al, looked thru a privet bush at the field, didn't see anything and when I was 4 steps up the ladder a doe andVERY nice buck took off. I was (and still am) sick.

I'm just curious, when does your deer season start and end in Alabama? I read online that it was one of the longest seasons

In most of Bama the bow season starts Oct 15 thru Jan 31. Rifle season starts Nov 19 thru Jan 31. Two deer a day, one of which can be a buck.

Just got back thursday from a quick 3 day hunt at my property. Deer didn't move very well, rainy, windy, even sleeted, but they just moved a lil at night. Jumped a nice deer walking in to my stand at around 1pm and had some walk by in the dark before the sun came up. Scrapes everywhere, but they are not quite there yet! Headed back up this Wed and will be there until the 1st of Feb. So hopefully we'll get some cold weather and some deer moving!

the bucks are on the move here in barbour co. these were all taken last weekend, from fri. thru mon.

Now only 3 days left. I took a decent 8 point yesterday who was chasing a hot doe so it's still going strong in Tallapoosa County.
