ANY ONE FROM SOUTH GA

I'M NEW TO DEER HUNTING IN SOUTH GA. I'M FROM N.W. ARK. WHERE THE DEER ARE REALLY BIG. THIS WAS MY FIRST YEAR HUNTING AND MY HUSBAND SAID THAT I GOT BUCK FEVER, ONLY IT WAS A DOE THAT I SHOT AT AND MISSED SHE WAS ABOUT 50 TO 75 YARDS AWAY FROM ME AND I MISSED HER. I COULD HAVE SWORE THAT I HIT HER. SHE WALKED AWAY NOT RUN LIKE I WAS TOLD THAT WOULD HAPPEN IF I MISSED. BUT WE SAW NO BLOOD. WHAT DID I DO WRONG?

If you made a thorough search and found nothing, sounds like you missed.

I have had does stand there and look at me when I shot the deer standing nest to them, different deer react different. I hunt in Albany Ga.

Don't feel bad I missed a couple this year in S.E. Georgia. It happens. Just have to take your time and try to regroup your thoughts.Better luck next season. Ruger Redhawk

I was raised down in Albany. It's pretty tough to find someone to let you hunt their land. The Marine base used to let folks hunt, I'm not sure if you still can though.

Lotsa luck!!
