hunt or stay at home

I have plans on hunting this sunday after church. My land is in north centeral Texas, right off the caprock. The forcast for this sunday is: A front is moving in. Good chance of rain in the pm hours, dieing down by evening. Winds from 13 to 25 miles an hour. High temp 50s, low 30s. The rut is just getting started here.

Do you think the deer are going to be moving or bedded up. I have had luck before a front and after a front, but little luck when one was moving in.

Your thoughts would be appreciated.

I have also taken deer before and after a front.although I hunt when I'm off,if it is durning a front!
as the saying goes you can't take a deer on the couch, unless the couch is in your tree.
So I say hunt before, durning, and after the front!

I am not a hunter I am a whitetail population reduction specialest

remember keep your back to the sun, your knife sharp, and your powder dry.

In my opinion, if you are off and can go hunting you should. I took a doe this morning in 25 to 30 mph winds. The hunting season only lasts so long so you better enjoy it when you can!

burniegohuntin'. Next week is going to be the best deerhunting weather since opening weekend. I think you'll be a good situation on Sunday afternoon. The front is supposed to be through DFW early afternoon, so it'll be past you by then. I'll be in the woods starting Thursday because that's the earliest I can get there.

The latest forecast (from a different source) says that the front will now be arriving later into the DFW area, so you might be in the blind when it blows by you. I'd go anyway. What else are you gonna do -- watch the Cowboys drop another 4th quarter lead?

Well I should have stayed home. It blew all day. I went to still hunting in a place where they bed and saw nothing. I jumped a few hogs and that was it. This is the second time in a row that the wind has ruined my hunt. The last two weekends I have not seen a single deer. This is on land that I will normally see up to 20 at a time. The front has moved in and next week end Ill be out all day fri. and sat.. Hopefully Ill see some. Its getting sad, I normally shoot only one doe in bow season and no bucks because of the limited doe season we have in my county. I should have filled my tags during bow season. I could have had my choice on good does and a couple of bucks, up to eight points. I normally wait for the rut, but Im starting to get a little concerned. Like I said I usually have a choice of deers every time I go out and the last few times I have seen nothing.
