Central NC rut is in full swing
 

All of you central NC boys better be in the woods. The rut is full blast right now. If you're going to use an estrous scent now is the time. A buddy of mine killed a nice 8 pointer yesterday chasing a doe. The hair was rubbed off his chest from breeding. He also saw 3 bucks chasing does again today but couldn't get a shot. Unfortunatly I've been unable to get off work to go but will be there Friday and Saturday. Just giving you guys and gals the heads up.

Where do you hunt at ? I hunt behind my house on the Randolph-Guilford county line. I agree , I saw bucks chasing does yesterday but couldn't get a shot.

RL, I hunt in Montgomery county near the Richmond county line. It's near a little community called Pekin. Can't wait to be there Friday.

Must be spotty, I haven't seen any rut activity but I've seen a lot of deer.

I'm a fulltime taxidermist from Guilford county and I have taken in quite a few bucks so far.Four have been over 17" wide(inside).Plenty of small bucks to.

My dad saw two small bucks the 23rd and one was chasing a doe so I agree that they are rutting pretty good.
