Guys,
Please excuse me but I just had to include this one here. You'll probably see it a couple of other places too. My taxidermist says its the largest one he's seen come out of South Arkansas in many years. He was 5.5 years old, 9 points. Only 15.5 inch spread but had some thick hangers there. Weight was 198 lbs.
I call him "Lord, God" cause when I showed him to my mentor he said, "Lord, God what a deer!".

You're taxidermist hasnt seen the one i killed two years ago. 8 pt with a 17.5 spread. about the same mass and tine length.
The 7 i killed saturday needed to be culled. he was probably 4 or 5 and probably wouldnt have gained any more points.

Sooner thats a very good deer but, from that picture It looks like your taxidermist needs to get out more. What did he say it would score becouse I have seen many deer that look bigger than that, mabe it's just a bad picture, had a friend that killed 169 inch 2 years ago in south arkansas. (but 200lb deer in arkansas is a very big deer.)
good luck

If i can get them in my cross hairs they don't get away!
And no doubt P tone i know of one that came out of emerson last year that would make that look shameful. i know another from stephens area that scored 157 and it looks like it should have scored more. but most around here don't want the advertisement cause we don't want visitors!!!!!!!!!

The local Harps grocery/check station here in Marshall, takes a pic of each deer checked, I was in there wednesday afternoon to see what had been checked so far, and there were several 8 or 10 pts checked that would top that one. Not to put that one down Sooner, but there are better and I guess folks are just taking theirs to another taxidermist.
The best of luck in all your hunting endeavors!!!

Your taxidermist hadn't seen this one either. It was taken two years ago in south arkansas. Don't get me wrong, the one up top is nice, but its not by any means the largest I seen from arkiville in a while. It will make someone a good set of rattling horns.<img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle>
