Havent killed anything yet, passed up some small does early in the season and have had some nice bucks within range they just never offered the shot. a couple pics of the big arkansas 6 i hope to take this weekend

Unfortunately I have only been able to get out 1 time this season. Work is killing me. I just might be able to get out this weekend though.

Well let's add some rifle hunting stories now that the season has started....I hunted these mountains yesterday and didn't see a single whitetail....Hunting these mountain deer is a whole different ballgame than sitting along a fencerow on a corn or soybean acreage......these animals got them a whole lot of territory to roam....and hide in.....:) Good luck to yall.....

Taken yesterday on private property in the mountains around Lincoln. Ruger # 1 .458 Win Mag 300 Gr. Handloads. He came towards me out of a ravine, and I shot him at about 57 yards.

I didn't get to go out this weekend for rifle season because of work. I've been out several times with my bow and havepassed on a small seven point and a pretty decent 8 point. I'm holding out for a big mature 10 point that a saw at a distance a couple weekends ago.

By the way, Chant, that is a awesome looking buck you got there.

Thanks beholt, I almost didn't see him come up from that ravine, ya'll know how it is in Arkansas.
