The rut in arkansas usally starts around the last week of oct in the northern part and progresses down the state weekly. Central around the first week of nov. and the southern part 3rd and 4th weeks of nov.

RE: Rut in Arkansas

I live by Shady, outside Mena, up in the mountains and saw2 nice bucks following a doe a few nights ago with their tail sticking straight out from their body. The second buck was a monster but it was getting so dark out that there was no way to launch an arrow his direction. So I think a few of them are doing the dirty right now as we speak.....:) This is the west central edge of the state.
